is beginning to discontinue many wiring harnesses
and CD changers. Due to this recent change of

Ford CD
Cartridges are somewhat hard to figure out.
The first 4 digits of your CD Changer
cartridge or CD Changer are what you'll need
to help make this determination.
Remember that
the OEM number and the replacement numbers do
not match. Feel free to contact me anytime at

assist you in finding the right cartridge for
your vehicle. There are a few things to get
prior to calling. Having these items helps us
with a quick response on your questions.
1)
Year, Make and Model of the Vehicle
2) Color of the Eject Button
3) Model Number off the Changer if possible
(On bottom of Changer)
4) Part number off the existing Cartridge. (On
Cartridge) |

Ford
Replacement 6 CD Cartridge-After July of 1998 CD Changers
normally. This Changer has a GREY eject
button and is usually a black changer
with no writing on the front. The
REPLACEMENT changer cartridge matches F8VF-18C833-AE.
Remember this is the replacement number
usually, not the OEM from the dealer

This is the Ford Replacement
FMS 6 Changer Cartridge. The Vehicles that use this most are the Ford
Escort, Escort ZX2 and the Ford Taurus
vehicles. The eject button is usually Orange
and the changer itself may have the
letters "FMS" on it somewhere. The
changer cartridge matches the ID number
of of
F8DF-18C833-AA. Some OEM units
have "F8CF" as the first 4 of the
changer or cartridge as well. |

Usually 1997 and prior. This CD Changer
usually has "Compact Disc Player"
written on the front cover, or something

figure out. It is usually a 2000 and
above model and has some style of 3F1T
or some style of "1T" in the changer
