Question: How do I
program or re-program my remote control?
Answer: The most well known way
to program you remote control is the following: There is usually a
black disarm button located under the dash area somewhere or on the
drivers kick panel area. What you need to do is open the drivers door
so the interior light of the vehicle is ON. Turn the key to the run
position (As if the vehicle was running) and hold the disarm button
down until you hear the alarm cycle. You will hear 3 chirps usually
and the locks, if you have them attached will go up and down with the
3 chirps. While still holding the button down, press the first button
on your remote, sometimes known as the arm button or upper left hand
button. Once you press this button, the alarm should cycle if it
programs. Then press the first button on the 2nd remote control and
you should hear the alarm cycle. The alarm has 4 slots to program. So
when you do the first remote, then the 2nd, please do the first remote
then the 2nd again, so basically you are programming each remote 2
times. If you have a 4 button remote, you must press the first button,
or upper left hand button, then the 3rd button or lower left hand
button, then do this with the 2nd remote as well. Once this is done,
let the button under the dash go, turn the key off and your done. IF
YOUR ALARM DOES NOT GO INTO PROGRAM MODE, THERE COULD BE A PROBLEM
WITH THE INSTALLATION OR SYSTEM. THE SYSTEM MUST SEE THE INTERIOR
LIGHT OF THE VEHICLE ON AND THE DISARM BUTTON HELD DOWN IN ORDER FOR
THE UNIT TO GO INTO PROGRAM MODE. |
